Pastasalaatti on helppo ja nopea valmistaa. Sapuska toimii tuoreeltaan lämpimänä tai jääkaappiviileänä. Tee kerralla isompi satsi ja ota evääksi töihin tai kouluun.

Keitä pasta sipulien kera. Valuta pasta, lisää vähän öljyä ja jätä jäähtymään. Sekoita pilkotut tomaatit ja oliivit pastan kanssa. Lisää lopuksi ruokalusikallinen pestoa ja hämmennä. Salaattia voi varioida käyttämällä esimerkiksi parsakaalia, paprikaa, kurkkua tai marinoitua tofua. Jos käytät fetajuustoa, varo, ettei suolaisuus peitä muuta makua alleen.
